Ingredients
Vinegar Rice
- 650g of water
- 500g Japanese round rice
- 60g rice vinegar
- 6g of salt
- 25g sugar
Makis
- 1 salmon fillet
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 avocado
- 4 sheets of Nori
- Ponzu Flavor Pearls
Preparation:
Step 1 Preparation of vinegared rice
Rinse the rice several times until the water runs clear and drain. In a saucepan, bring the rice and water to a boil, covered. In a bowl, heat the mixture of rice vinegar, sugar and salt in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth and the sugar is completely dissolved. Once the rice has boiled, reduce the heat to low. Cook until the water is completely absorbed (about 15 minutes). Then let the rice sit for 15 minutes. Add the vinegar mixture and spread the rice on a tray to cool.
Step 2 Preparation of makis
Cut equal-sized strips of cucumber, avocado and salmon (about 5 cm long).
Cut your nori sheet in half. Place the sheet on the mat of your sushi set, in the direction that allows you to roll it. Then spread a thin layer of rice (-1 cm).
Do not spread the rice on the last centimeter where you will finish the roll. Place the salmon, avocado and cucumber strips in the center. Then roll tightly. Cut the maki into pieces of equal size.
Step 3 Dressage
Arrange your makis on a plate and place Ponzu Flavor Pearls on top
